Here’s Why We Removed Our Film From All Platforms

100 posts in 100 days -- that was the motto when it was time to promote our indie film The Sound of Southside. For about 90 days straight, we didn't miss a day. Then, quite abruptly, we stopped posting altogether, and now we've scrubbed it from online like it never happened. Why you might ask? It's not a bad thing.

Our NYC video production company invested in making an indie film to serve as a showcase for our talents and it did exactly that. We traveled the country for two years, winning awards and getting our name out there thanks to the project. Perhaps the most important festival though, was the Hip Hop Film Festival. There, we won two awards including "Best Feature Film", and we met the festival's founder and director CR Capers, who has championed the project.

As a result of her advocating for our movie, we were able to get signed by a really dope company, which is currently shopping the film around for a favorable deal. As a part of the deal, we had to take the film offline.

Overall, it feels good to have a nice industry push after grinding it away independently for so long.

We're grateful to CR Capers for putting more eyes on our film and we're grateful to our damn selves for willing this story into existence. As far as what we do now, you may ask? Now, we wait.

In the meantime, get in touch with us for the best video production New York has to offer.
